Samsung has introduced a new sensor that will change the world of smartphone cameras.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0With the ISOCELL HP1 sensor, Samsung ushers in the 200MP camera era.\u00a0The new ISOCELL HP1 sensor brings a new pixel-binning technology that will allow it to take powerful low-light shots, according to Android Authority.\u00a0It’s the first 200MP resolution sensor in the smartphone camera industry with 0.64micron pixels, the largest pixel size of any smartphone camera ever seen.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Samsung has named the pixel-binning technology of the new HP1 sensor as ChameleonCell. 2×2 and 4×4 pixel binning modes will be used. In 2×2 mode, the sensor can capture 50MP images with 1.28 micron pixels. And in 4×4 mode, it can capture 12.5MP images with 2.65 micron pixels.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The HP1 sensor can record 8K video at 30fps and 4K video at 120fps. According to reports, Xiaomi’s new flagship phone to be released in 2022 will use a 200MP sensor. So far, I can’t say for sure which product I’ll be using. Samsung’s upcoming flagship phones. They also expected to use this sensor.<\/p>\n
